A Rom-Com That is Let Down by its Main Character | Review: Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey

I didn't hate Waiting for Tom Hanks, but it definitely wasn't my favourite of the year and most of this can be traced back to its lead character.

Intensely Erotic and Atmospheric... Unlike Anything I've Read | Review: A Lesson in Thorns by Sierra Simone
7:38 PM
Me, immediately after reading this and knowing damn well I haven't been to church since I was a teenager: Do I need a cold shower or Church after reading this? (This is a compliment. I ADORED A Lesson in Thorns, just so we're clear. Insert a dozen of the fire emoji here.)

Cute, YA Contemporary Based Upon the Broadway Show of the Same Name | Review: The Prom by Saundra Mitchell

If you love the musical, you'll enjoy the novelization. And, yes, they fixed the fact that they tried to erase Alyssa Greene's sexuality from lesbian to pansexual. Both Alyssa and Emma are lesbians in The Prom, as they always were!

Blog Tour, Photo Journal + Mood Board: The Prom by Saundra Mitchell, Bob Martin, Chad Beguelin and Matthew Sklar
6:30 AM
There are two things I love above all else music(al theatre) and literature. When they are combined? I will probably burst out into a musical number. I'm all sparkly prom dresses and songs right now just thinking about The Prom. My review will follow later this week, but until then--I'm so ecstatic to be participating in the blog tour. And, as a side note, to those who are concerned: the finished copy does NOT change any of the characters sexuality--I know this was a concern earlier on via the ARC!
I tried to write a little introduction for this post but in the end all I did was hum, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" because that's how my mind operates. Also, I'm too excited to write something witty.
