I Love P.C. and Kristin Cast but The Dysasters Wasn't for Me | Review: The Dysasters by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
3:08 PM
I'm aggressively disappointed in myself for not adoring The Dysasters. But, it almost got tossed in the DNF pile multiple times.
Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday! It's that time again. Also, how is it almost AUGUST? I am confusion. Send help.
Booked J had a very productive week! I didn't, personally, BUT, my blog posting game was totally on fire.
Jane Corry does it again with The Dead Ex. One of my favourite thrillers of the year and a total must read for fans of the genre.
Saskia Vogel had me instantly with a simple description: "--prefers to lose herself in the lives of others rather than examine her own."

The Belles Remains an Everlasting Pleasure, but The Everlasting Rose Falls a Bit Flat in Comparison (Review: The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton)
12:38 PM
Make no mistake: although it's not quite as good as its predecessor, The Everlasting Rose is a delight and impossible to put down. It just so happens to be in a different way than The Belles.

6:30 AM
Before I Disappear is a book so mysterious, I wondered if I merely dreamed it up. Isn't that what we all want from literature? Here's what I have to say on Danielle Stinson's brilliant novel.
Good poetry stirs something inside us--Ill Angels does that and more. Dante Di Stefano is one a voice to be heard.

It Ends with Us is Unforgettable and Completely Devestating | Review: It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
1:26 PM
Colleen Hoover remains one of the most versatile authors in the New Adult genre. It Ends with Us is proof of that.
Last month, Disney Books was kind enough to surprise me on NetGalley by granting my year-long wish for The Belles. Unfortunately, I had already read it mid 2018 at this point. THEN AGAIN, well, fortunately I am in the mood for a reread before diving into The Everlasting Rose.

2019 has truly given us so many unforgettable poetry collections, hasn't it? Nightingale is beautiful.
Netflix has been acquiring rights to a lot of books lately. And I'm overwhelmed with excitement and nerves!!!!!!!! For obvious reasons. Let's not get into how greedy I'm feeling. BECAUSE, LIKE, I'VE GOT SOME SUGGESTIONS. Let's pretend I'm just brainstorming all the books that they NEED to adapt next for ~fun. Not because I'm considering the whole blackmailing approach and poking the good, kind, wonderful people at Netflix. Why, I never.

Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating is Charming and Full of Heat (Review: Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren)
6:30 AM
Continuing on with my apparent goal to read everything Christina Lauren (Hello, dynamic duo!) have written so far, I finally read Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating. And I'm glad I did--it was a fun read.
I don't know how much I feel about fate being, well, fate. But, it feels like fate that I read this book. Not unlike the obviously fated love story it tells.

Red, White and Royal Blue is Utterly Enchanting and Like Falling in Love (Review: Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston)
5:00 AM
Filed under: books that I am COMPLETELY smitten with. Seriously, guys, the hype is real with this one and you should prepare to be enchanted by this love story.
You know that feeling you get when you see someone talk about a book so much, you're like OKAY FINE I'M SOLD TAKE MY WALLET ALREADY @ *insert publishing house or author here* and suddenly you have fifty-five new books and approximately no money left?
Okay, fine, I'm late to posting something again. As always, right? To be fair, I've been recovering from reading Red, White and Royal Blue for over a month. And, at the end of the day, it's not only one of the best books of the year but one of my favourite books of all-time. Oh, and, before you ask, nope: this is NOT spoiler-free.
For those of you who are active on Instagram, you likely know of Cait and her account. Even if it's just in passing. Recently, her father has posted updates on her and her health and ongoing battle with Lyme Disease--moreso, has requested help from her followers in finding specific items. Today, her friend Brittney (who you likely know as reverieandink on Instagram and other social media under the same name) began a fundraiser in an effort to help Cait and her family out in this trying time.
If you follow my Instagram, you've already seen the reveal! If not, HI! It's time for the beauty that is The Solitary Queen to totally own you. I've been staring at this cover LITERALLY ALL DAY because, in the words of Lizzie McGuire the Wise: "This is what dreams are made of." Can we all just agree that Nissa Leder's books have the PRETTIEST covers?
I'm so beyond excited to dive into this series. Whims of Fae is one of my favourites And Nissa Leder had me at "spin-off" and "WITCHES" if we're being honest, here.
