Bookish Goals for October 2017

1:30 PM

Does anyone else feel like it's pretty useless to set goals for themselves? I get this way 99.9% of the time because I have a real problem with authority. And organization. And lists. And... and... and stuff in general because, well, to put it bluntly, I'm l a z y. Seriously, think of the laziest person you know and I will probably challenge them to a duel but then not show up because, ugh, too much effort. No.

Just no.

Effort? Responsibility? Motivation? YUCK. Get it away from me! All right, I'm definitely doing that thing where I am just exaggerating--again--but what else can you expect? I ramble. I'm dramatic. I am horribly, horribly bored. And for once... I'm kind of not all that lazy this month? It's weird. Who am I? What have I become? What will I become?

So not only have I gone a little bonkers with the revamping literally everything thing (seriously: who am I?) I have decided to give that whole organizing a list thing a go. I even have my planner in my hands right this minute.* And it's like a whole new me has taken the stage. Cue the Taylor Swift references.

*Horton hears a bitch-ass liar.

NEW RELEASES I AM ANTICIPATING
*Not including Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated Edition because obviously.

TITLES I RECEIVED FOR REVIEW PURPOSES
(THAT I HOPE I FINISH BEFORE THE MONTH IS OVER)

*Minus Zenith, I am holding off until mid-December since it's not released until January.

BOOKS THAT I'VE HAD FOR A WHILE
+THAT I STILL NEED TO READ OR REVIEW

That pretty much sums it up! What books are you hoping to finish up by the end of October? I'm actually really surprised it's as short as it is, even if it's not particularly short. I'm excited about quite a few things this month and skeptical for others. You should probably note that some of the books listed above, in galley form, are from months before or after October rather than just during.
